I kinda wanted to keep it where it is so that I can eventually put a winch in it yet though... I might put a piece of square tube in between the bumper and the base though. Also, the gears should be here any time now. Ran the tracking number and they've been in Cali since this morning
Can't wait to see it in action up at the Con.
Hey the 'Migo is lookin pretty good there 'Miga!
Except without all the bouncing this time.
What, forget to bring a bra last time?
FFC: I'm kinda new to the 'crawler croud' and this thread and after readin ALL THE WAY THRU ,I must say that I'm pretty impressed :bowdown:w' the 'Miga build up .A couple o' points #1 how 'bout a "comp cut" to the rear fenders to allow a MUCH greater wheel base and a less severe driveline angle? (I KNOW 'bout the COST factor ,bit a new vehicle to replace the roll ravaged one seems MORE of a waste!) #2 I think some of the previously drawn in ideas (stinger) would have made fer a better bumper design, but maybe youse can grind the lower pipe stubs flat, bend some smaller diameter tube and insert(did he say insert?) it into the HOLE and burn it to the bottom of the upper tube just fer a start. I AM pretty artistic(autistic?) and could prob'ly draw up some designs to finish out the bumper, but I don't do computer to good :willynilly:and I don't have a scanner :rivers:so you'll hafta depend on yer friends in Cali an' AZ to help ya there. Of course, I guess yuh cood tell me ta kiss yer ,but that wooden bee LADY-like,woodit? Oh,yeah...and don' ferget ta tie some braces(bumper)in to that chunk o' square tube up front! Yuh already stood it on the rear, how long before the front?
you can only use that bumper if you PAINT IT THE SAME COLOR AS MATT DID HIS
Kiss my That's his scheme... I'm goin with green
Thats a little harsh aint it I just ment the Okie Chrome you dont gotta be so mean FFC I was just kiddin'
Have you jumped your amigo or the previous owners of the axle jump their truck? That housing looks bent...
I was on all 4's on Cadillac last year... I have welded a little bit on the housing, and put the truss on (top) Thanks, I'll have to pay more attention next time I pull er out of the garage.
Don't want to find out that way, it'll be when you try to put those axle shafts back in and they won't go.
