ranger rear leafs
« on: Aug 18, 2003, 07:22:26 AM »
if anyone is looking for a good spring setup look under the 90 or so rangers i just installed a set on my 85 and the flex is amazing it rides nicer than the chevy springs
i moved the front hanger forward 6 inches and the rear back 2 inches and used stock toy springs for a 3 leaf buggy leaf and a standard lift shackle
and if you take the ubolts and plates you now have a flip kit
i wil post pics today
the flex compared to chevy leaves is about a foot or mor better we dont have a rti ramp but we compared our trucks
living in the desert makes toyotas
a musthave thing . so much desert to crawl in and so few gas stations.
barstow is great, calico and the hammers are both within a half an hour  drive.

2 or 4 wheel drive ranger? how much lift? are you shure the flex isn't related to the buggy leaf?

2wheel drive and i have had 3 other springs including chevy leafs and the ranger works the best for me and my driving style the set up is about a 1-2 inch lift with out shackles and buggy leaf
but the way i have it set up it is about 5inch lift
it has been tested and i think this is the best setup i have had on my truck so far now if i could get the front to flex it would be great
