FROR Center Section Mounting Points?
« on: Dec 27, 2005, 09:57:29 AM »
What part of the center section would you use for mounting points?
I'm looking for the most strenght.
Also, should I use tube or 3/8" flat stock?
This will be mounting with the 10* clocked adapter.

Nice red X-ification
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Don't they sell 10* clocked units?
Some idiots are too busy knowing it all, to ever learn anything...

Yeah, for $300.00, they won't seperate the skid plate and crossmember. The skidplate wont work with the 10* clocked adapter.

MiniSimp i just ordered my center ection two days ago, hopfully it will be here Friday so I can start building it this weekend.
I have a couple ideas one simmilar to your's, what ever I do I wil post pics up and we can compare.

I just hope I use enough rubber to mount it to the frame to soak up vibration.  I was thinking like 1" thick or even more.
