20r intake to 22re
« on: Dec 04, 2005, 12:35:01 PM »
Does anyone know if a 20R intake manifold ( 80 I think) will bolt onto a 84 22RE?

If you're asking if the 20r manifold will bolt to the 22re head then the answer is a resounding no!  You would need the 20r head.

I know but this engine has no intake and is in an 80 PU. How much for your intake if it does bolt up?

my intake for a 22r is not going to bolt up to a 20r

a 22r carb intake will bolt up to a 22re efi head.....

ok in that case, an 22r carb manifold will bolt up to the 22re head..... you will also need a carb, and find some way to regulate the fuel pressure to a lot lower than the efi uses.... the carb flows somewhere around 5 psi fuel pressure..... it wont even register on a 10+ psi guage

if its an 80 truck that you just dropped the 22RE in(so everything else is stock) just get a carb manifold and a weber or something.  80 will need a mechanical fuel pump, any from a 22R will bolt right on.
