Replacing tie rod end boots?
« on: Nov 30, 2005, 07:30:53 PM »
I got the FJ80 tie rod ends with my lift kit from the other company, but I tore one of the boots getting the sucker off.  I guess I could finish tearing off the one that is on there to see exactly how it attaches, but I figured I'd ask...someone has replaced on before.  How do you replace a tie rod end boot?

Thanks.

they have a circlip at the bottom, remove clip, boot and replace. oh and next time use a puller to separate TRE's instead of a fork
