Thanks man.  That was her first time out.  Took her to Paragon AP.  Been wrenching on her for far too long.  LOL

I am thinking about a Runner as I want around a 100-105" WB and that would be very difficult in a Zuk.  Mine is at 82" now.  What is the wheelbase of a Runner?  Thanks.  Jim

My sami is @ 94" right now and it feels very stable even with one tire off the ground quite a bit.  I think someone could push a sami to around 100" with out it looking disproportionate.

It's four-linked in the back which the PO did.  He did a good job with it too.  It's not a great pic and I would gladly take more if you want some.

"I" have not done much to it, but the PO did a bunch of stuff, but thanks anyway.  And it's all "street legal."  :psss:

GRSII
EZ-Lockers front and rear
four-linked rear
SPOA and Missing linked front
Rancho 9000s
Rock lights

Now for the stuff I've done (and plan to do).
It had an alright CD player, but water got into it and toasted it so I'm getting a cheap radio and XM.
Put on a "new" windshield/frame and targa bar.
Custom fit a Jeep bikini top to it.

Carb tube
Going with 33" LTB's

I really want to put in a VW turbo-diesel at some point and I'm adding power steering and a front cage in a couple months.

Man street legal?   Where do you live?  Mne is pushing being street legal as she sits.  I am thinking of doing some tube work to her.  Jim

Street legal in the sense that the only thing it has gotten pulled over for is not having the license plate visible enough.  I figure mud flaps will be the next one.  I was coming home last night and a cop followed me for a couple blocks and didn't do anything.  The way I figure it, there are so many 2-wheel drive pickups that are lifted anywhere from 12-16" around here, they have enough on their hands without having to deal with me.

Can you post up a side view of your rig?  I'd like to see it stretched that far.

Oh and maybe we should start a wheelbase thread so we can stop the hijack on Powerstroken's thread.

Sorry Powerstroken!!

Today I stripped down the frame of the stock steering box and I cleaned the frame and started to get ready to mount a Toy IFS PS box on the outside of the frame.  I can't deal with the steering situation anymore.  33"s at 5 PSI with no PS what a work out.  I have some parts that I need to aquire.

Take plenty of pics.  I'm planning on putting power steering on shortly.  Hell, I thought 31's with the locker were a workout, let alone 33's!!

An FJ 60 box is idea it has a forward facing pitman arm.  I have a Spidertrax panhard bar that I do not want to loose.  A pan hard bar and a FJ box mount in the same location.  An IFS box has a rearward facing pitman arm.  The only draw back with it is you loose a good portion of the front clip mount at that corner.  I completely removed mine and will fabricate another front clip body mount as I wanted my box as far forward as possible.  I want my front axle as far forward as possible also.  For either of these setups you will probably want a flat pitman arm available From SKY or OTT  a little tweaking when first mounting the box will give you good clearance any dropped pitman arms run the risk of hitting the springs.  Any questions feel free to ask.  Jim

I am going to go with the Spidertrax PS pump and a toy IFS box when i get to putting mine back together.  I dont like driving mine without PS on 32s and street pressure, I can only imagine 33s at 5 psi.

pffft...... try rocking 36" unbalanced (grooved with a grinder) TSL's ... but it's all gravy.  who cares? right?l..............
I've seen a buggy on 42"s go 115mph... and a toy truggy hit 80 on 39.5" IROKS unbalanced.  it was fun

btw- nice buildup Jim
I'm going yota JUST so I can buy from Marlin more.

These are racing only MTR's.  I haven't seen them in any book.  They aren't DOT approved (like I care?)  LOL  I will ask the guy I got them from they came from some race team?
