Why I am glad I'm not in Afghanistan....
« on: Nov 26, 2005, 06:34:14 AM »
I would get my dumb ass shot standing around drooling over all the cool Toyotas that you never see in the States.  I think the neatest one I've seen is a four door 3rd gen with a short short 1st gen bed on it.  How come some of these don't make their way over here??

Those are a dime a dozen over here.  I have been here about 6 months and am still trying to figure out if buying one and sending it home would be worth it money wise.

Here in Newberg I've seen a 3rd gen 4 door, but I don't know how it got here or anything about it.  Next time I see it I should ask the owner about it.  Conman SHIP ONE BACK!!!   Those are sweet.  I'd love to own one someday.

And what, non-USA locations got the live axle front suspension up until 1995 I believe?

Are these Toyotas coming straight from Japan?  I'd be sick if they were building them here and exporting them.  That is cool info that they used solid axles until 95.

Last I knew they used solid axles till 95 in other countries and now they use the our old IFS system with the torsen bars, They are not using the suspension that we have on the new tacomas.  I used to have a web site address for this ifo but can't find it rigth now, I'll get back with that.
