Fuel Pressure Regulator Install
« on: Nov 01, 2005, 09:10:22 PM »
OK, I got tired of my engine running like crap and flooding out on hills/off-cambers, so I thought I'd throw on a FPR.  I picked up a Holley 12-804 FPR and bolted it up.  It's adjustable from 1-4 PSI,  so it works great on a Yoat.  I did have to tap the two mounting bracket holes to 6mX1.00, and modify the bracket, but it only took about 30 minutes to get this thing installed.  My truck actually idles smooth now!(yeah, my carb is shot)

I set it a 4PSI to start and it runs great.  Going to Niagara rim this weekend, so we'll see how it does.

Looks good, just outa curiousity how much green did that reg. cost?  I'm runnin a weber and an elec. fuel pump and am thinking of upgrading to a holley red pump, and figure I should run a pressure regulator also.  And clean your engine man!!!

You can get it for like 35-40 depending on where you get em.

And, ya its dirty.  The timing cover seal was leaking pretty bad and I haven't had time since I fixed it.

Just got back from the trail.  Truck ran fantastic.  It only flooded out once, on a real steep climb, while at about 1000 RPM.  Actually, I didn't even bring the pressure back up after we aired up, and it ran great all the way home.
