T-Case model?
« on: Oct 24, 2005, 07:37:50 PM »
I was just wondering what the difference between a transfer case off a '93 and one for my '86 is, if any....just double checkin before I buy a spare to put some 4.70's in. Thanks.

They should both be rf1a t-cases which are both gear driven.  At most you'd need to convert one of them to top shift for usage in the rear.  The 86 should already be top shift so all you'd have to do is grind about 1/2" off the driver side shift rail and put 'em together.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

The 93 might have a electronic speedo sensor but I think they can be changed. :rockingout:

Yup the speed sensor's are totally interchangable.  Pop the electronic one out and pop the mechanical one in.
