Very sad

Happened in Vacaville, CA, the town I went to high school in and the town my parents, brother and sister still live in.  Once of the children was a student of my mom's teaching partner. :rivers:

OMG!!!! That's terrible! It sounds like something you'd see in a movie or something.  Oh that poor family, to lose both kids at once like that, and all to a careless driver!! :sad2:

It is very sad, BD. what a terrible tragedy. It never ceases to amaze me how fleeting life is.
Life is like a bowl of beer flavored chocolate covered dog turds.. it makes no sense. :pokinit:

It is amazing how stupid people can be. We were just hit in the Jeep last Saturday by someone not paying attention to where they were going. Thankfully nobody was hurt.

I wounder if this was an accident or an act of aggression?

Either way it is a tragedy.

It's amazing to see how people forget where they are and whats going on in the world arround them when they drive...

I had a guy run me off the road the other day... I was merging into his lane... and he sped up from 4 car lengths back to keep me from being infront of him... and nearly sent me off a 40 cliff!... I wanted soo bad to just tap his rear fender and spin him out... when I looked and saw his 8 and 10 year old( i think) kids  in the back...  some people just don't THINK!   :maddest:

This weekend, I was passing a guy on the highway who was doing 65-70, and when he saw me trying to pass, he sped up. I was about1/2 way past him when I hit 110mph and his little POS whatever it was couldn't hang!

Why would I insist on passing this idiot? He would speed up to almost 80, then slow down to 45, then back up to 70. There was no reason for it, he just couldn't keep his foot on the skinny pedal. I got sick of dealing with him and decided to pass when he did this.

Truckers prayer

Dear God above bless this truck I drive,
and help me keep some one alive

Be my mortal sight this day,
on streets where little children play.

Bless my helper fast asleep when the night is long;
and keep my cargo safe and sound through the hours big and round.

Make my judgement sound as steel,
and be my hands upon the wheel.

Bless the traveler going past,
and teach them not to go so fast.

Give me strength for ever trip,
so I may care for what they ship.

And make me mindful every mile,
that life is just a little while.

             AMEN.

Its gotten even worse now.  The guy who hit the kids is mentally disabled :yikes: and this is the first ting that has happened since he got his license 5 years ago.  Why anyone would give him a license I have no idea, but he was trying to pass slow moving cars on the right side at 70mph on an essentially residential area. :slap: Guess he's gonna plead not guilty to 2 murder charges :dunno: possibly more, as there are 3 kids in critical, and one kid barely hanging on.

Yeah what ever happened to giving the mentally disabled people bus passes? Where my dad works all the mentally disabled people have bus passes bought for them and they get wherever they want to go.
