Umm, this maybe oversimplifying things but here goes anyhow.

Take original cluster out of dash.......

Plug in the new cluster just like the old cluster was plugged in.......

Swap in the oil pressure sending unit in place of the oil pressure switch, the plugs are the same so plug and play.

And last but not least, fire it up and enjoy your new dash....

I remember on my non Sr5 86 I had to run 1 wire to the tach feed back to the negative side of the coil (on carburated 86 model)

More than likely, you'll have to run a wire from the "capped" plug which comes off the negative side of the coil.  That will power the tach, as many have mentioned already.  As my memory recalls, I had to swap the location of one of the other wires (repin it) for maybe the temperature guage.  Does sound right to those of you who have done the swap?  I know I had to repin one of the wires...  AND YES - please make sure you use the proper oil pressure sender, not the idiot light switch type...

You've unplugged your existing oil sending unit, correct?  DO NOT leave it plugged in with your fancy new SR5 cluster installed.
