Quick story...Dad had a beautiful '81 Toy,which was stolen. He then bought a '91 Toy(2nd owner also)real nice, but he didn't want to go thru the trouble of SAS'in it,and said it would hurt him to scratch it up on the trails,so he sold it,bought my F-150,and said he would buy an older Toy,something he could beat up a little. So he then bought a Zook, wich we put brand new Swampers on,and plans were SOA,lockers, and a full cage.Well,he decided that before he dumped any money into it,he would sell it,because it wasn't really what he wanted to begin with.He really wanted a 1st Gen. Toyota...I posted it up,and some cat from Arizona contacted him,and traded him a 1st Gen. for it...My plans for the Toyota would include, duals  :turtle:  of course,1 tons,40s or 42s,and a full cage.BUT,this is dad we're talking about,so his plans for it are a little different. His plans are rears up front, shackles in the rear,a header,a Flowmaster, some 33 inch BFG MTs,or Good Year MTRs (40s,and I are trying to talk him into going 35s),black rockcrawlers,4:88s and Lockers @ both ends,a new paint job(charcoal grey)and possibly a bolt in roll cage.So here it is,in it's BEFORE stage. This mild build up will take a few months.

I wish my dad would be into wheeling.  He thinks I'm crazy for building something up then getting dents and other rock rash on it.  Way to go keep up posted on the progress.  Oh and yeah keep on him about gettint 35's.  I know personally I'll never go smaller than a 35 now.

I know what you mean, my dad says I'm too young to be throwing my money into vehicles :headshake:

my dad doesnt see the point to four wheeling, he thinks its boring. Hes into muscle cars, pre runners and motorcycles. he likes anything that will go fast. I LOVE all that stuff too but i love four wheeling just as much as all that stuff.

Looks like a fun project.  I cant diss the 35's thats all I will run to.  Good luck with it.

My mom flipped out when she walked in and saw TTC 2004, she was literaly pissed those guys were wheeling there nice rigs that hard.  I thought it was awsome. :yesnod:

I can't argue with his choice, 1st gens are cool. I get a lot of fingers pointed at me when I come around a corner on the trail and people commenting on how clean it looks.

I sure do like the first gens. I wish my dad was into wheeling too. 35's and up are the only way to go. Although I think it is blackdiamond who runs 33's and can manage to get almost anywhere. 35's look cooler though

now that I've gone 37's I won't even look back

RHG

yeah sorry, bigger is better. I could manage 35's again but I have a set of 37 mtr's that are going under my truck after SAS. 37 just seems like a happy number.

I made the misstake of going with 35's after my 33's wore out.  I should have just gone 37's in the frist place.  Now that i have 37's i love them to death.

Right now he's waiting on my lazy ass to get my tires off my MT 589's so he can put some bling on his 1st gen.

It's an even sweeter truck in person.
