My clutch is possessed
« on: Aug 04, 2005, 11:12:05 PM »
Well I finally got the 83 running well enough to drive it around my fields.  Only problem is the clutch won't ENGAGE.  It's stuck in the disengaged position.  At first the pedal wouldn't move, so I bled the slave cylinder.  Pedal still wouldn't move.  I can throw it in gear while running and nothing would happen.

What the hell?

Pedal won't move? Is it flat on the floor? If it does move, does it feel like there's any resistance like it's trying to work?

No, it's stuck out in the engaged position, and won't move.

I was also thinking the slave cylinder could just be froze up.  Is this possible?

same symptoms happened on my 85 once upon a time, turns out that the presure plate cooked itself purple and lost all of its spring qualities
