Can some one help me out with this. Is this something serious? Is it hard to fix?

Not sure exactly what part broke just from the pics, but something in the front output of the t-case snapped. What caused it? Have you been driving in 4WD on pavement?

the nut came off the out put shaft, happens all the time, take it apart put the nut back on w/some locktite, if the threads arent damaged, and reassemble, make sure you readd fluids!

Yup. I changed the front seal on mine, i went to use a 1/2" wratchet, thing just bout came off with my fingers. Make sure you dont have any crap in there, im sure youll check anyway.
