I couldn't find the topic that discussed about having to show I.D. for everything no matter your age but anyways we went to the store (big nationwide chain) and she bought a product that required you to be over a certain age, the only way the transaction could be competed is by putting her date of birth into the computer. I guess they are covering their so they don't get again by not asking.
they don't HAVE to put it in...I know some cashiers at a nationwide supermarket and when I buy beer there(yes, I am 21)...they just hit another button and it shows up on the receipt as "cashier verified age" instead of my DOB...I think they just have to cover them selves, as rocksurfer said.
Well that's what it does at every other supermarket I go to as well. But when she tried doing it at this store, wish I could remember what it was. Might have been a Super Walmart. It wouldn't allow her to continue the transaction, and gave her some weird error message until she would put in a date. I should have made something up.
The Superwalmart sells beer, but I'm not sure I've seen beer at a regular walmart
That's pretty lame.I hate it when they ask for my zip code. I'm sure they are doing this so they can determine where their customers are coming from so they can build another complex in the future, but for instance at our Best Buy they always ask for my zip code, and I just make one up. As long as the first 3 numbers are the same, I could be living anywhere in the county
I've had a lot of stores ask for my phone number. I never give it out.The look on their face is precious when they ask "can I get your phone number"? and I respond, very friendly, with a smile and a shake of the head, "nope" . They just don't know what to make of it. Then I'll turn to the person behind me "You don't have to give your phone number".
I only give my phone number like at auto parts stores for warrantys and stuff like that. Well, and grocery stores if I don't have my club card with me
lol that would be a great Line say your in line at a store and the chick at the register is hott and she asks for your number. you say " only if i can get yours"
say your in line at a store and the chick at the register is hott
you can not tell me a hot chica cashier has not heard that line more then once! LOL!
I am a cashier at the local Kragen (Schucks, Checkers...) and I get asked that all the time! It's a PITA!!
So what you are saying is that you are a hot chick?
