Beautifull hardware!!! .I'm running the same,(exept mine's a Ford D60).Did you get those from a military K30?...What size tires are you gonna run?.
look awesome, how much did you score those for and also whats the width of them, I'm still possibly interested in your other axles you have for sale, I just scored axles from under a 2500 suburban for free and I think (didn't get a good enough chance to look closer) the front is a 60. the rear is a 14 bolt so we'll see how that goes
LOCKTUP SHOULD HAVE HIS OWN DISCOVERY CHANNEL SHOW!!
You may want to look again I have never heard of the factory placing a 60 under a Sub. I was told I could take a set of axles out from under a 2500 Sub. And I was told they were 60's, when I showed with my tools it was a 10 bolt and a 60 rear. Hopefully I am wrong because thats a score.
it ends up that its a 14 bolt rear and 44 front. The casting number on the front said 44-8F. It was dark when i looked at them the first time. yeah everyone was right but hey free axles aint bad their always worth money.tb can't wait to see what you axles look like when your done. you keeping the leafs or you going to 4 link or something like that when you start putting those under. oh and your old axles yeah still trying to get mine sold and figure something out. If you have another buyer just let me know first since you said I'm first in line.
Here's a picture of the s10 blazer that I'm going to be taking the 4.3 v6 out of and also the new motor mounts that all be useing.
Here's a picture of a Dana 60 axle shaft u joint next to a Dana 44.
Did you just have your axle shaft cut down and resplined. Which kit did you use for your rear disk brake swap. I wish I had a machine shop that could do axles around where I live. No one wants to mess with mine.
Why dont you use CTM's? That is a huge difference between the 44 and the 60 joints.. Axle upgrades? or stock shafts? Im begining to think that when the time comes that my driving requires longfields then I might go 1tons. I know yall say longs are stronger than 60's but you just cant beat that awsome look of fullsized under a toy.
