Tires
« on: May 24, 2002, 07:34:23 PM »
Any one run or know someone whos runs Parnelli Jones- Dirt Grip tires? These things look like they would kick ass. I'm looking at the 36x14.50 size for my Cruzr. National tire and wheel has them for $254 a piece. I've read all good on these but haven't heard about trade life or side wall puncture. Its between those or MTR's. Opinions please.

I really like all the siping in the out side tread blocks. They also offer a 37-12.50 in 15, 16, 16.5 rims. The 38-15.50r-15 are $299 each. There not much more then the TSL radials.

I found this site and it has all the sizes and a few other things. Some of there deals are Carrols tire warehouse. I'm going to call and see if they offer a road hazard. America's tire company offer an unconditional warranty for life of the tread. Sears F#@ked me on my BFG's when I went to use there road hazard so I don't know if thats all its made out to be.

I've been running MTR's since Rubithon and I love em!! They are great onroad and hook up well on the rocks. BTW I saw Lance at Jamboree and he had a set of swampers on. Holding out on the new tires I guess. I did see a cruiser with MT Baja Claw 38" RACE tires. He said could not expect more than 1000 miles on road. (not DOT) Man were they soft!!!!
