« on: Jun 05, 2005, 03:15:30 PM »
:help:  Ok, here is the question. I Have a A340F auto, am wandering were the best place to add a temp probe to monitor Fluid temp.?
Do I just drill a hole in the pan, or try a take a temp reading off the line running to the Cooler?
:-\\  I will be towing in some pretty hills, I want to see if the tranmission is heating up before the Idiot light come on , and there is fluid everywhere :ack:

Typically, the hottest fluid in an auto trans is the fluid that just left the torque converter.  that being said, generally, the fluid goes to the converter then directly to the cooler.  You'd need a fluid diagram to know for sure though.
