Orbit-eye-dea?
« on: Apr 26, 2005, 06:11:46 PM »
Here's an Idea I don't know how well or if it would work, but what about instead of just using a piece of tubing in the front for a through the frame shackle mount use an orbit eye or a jonny joint, or which ever suits your fancy, You would probly have to make some sort of missalignment bushings, since the frame there is at an angle but what do you guys think. :dunno:

The reason i ask is cause I plan on putting some 51" rears up front, and have to move my shackle back some.
Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

What he said!

I found out today that Mastercard is now marketing an idea that I had a while back.  I guess the saying is true, "there are no new  under the :shocking: "

AOR seems to have a poor reputation, so maybe you could come up with a legal twist on the idea and market it.

I think those shackles are just made to fit orbit eye springs, not an orbit eye in the frame.

don't have to use an orbit eye, if you check out the last page on the Pirate FAQ they have a whole list of flex joints that you could use.

has any one on this board done this before?
