Topic: 87' 4runner wiring harness attacked by rats...

Was wondering if anyone had tips on getting the wiring harness out of the dash, rats lived in it for about 8 years and chewed up the passenger side of the harness pretty decent...Ive got the dash taken apart down to the support bar but looking like i need to take out the blower/hvac housing as well?

That harness is pretty much behind everything and out through the holes to the front. It's probably the last thing to come out and first that needs to go in when you tear apart the cab. It's been a few days since you posted so maybe you figured this out.

Yep pretty much found that out, may end up gutting the cab anyway as the rats made their home/snacks in the hvac housing and chewed on the wiring harness in the middle of the dash and around the circuit opening relay soooo probably be easier for me to solder it back together outside the cab anyway...
