What will adding RCLT allow you to do that you can’t with the current setup?  I know it’s a lot stronger, but was busting wondering if going to RCV axles might be sufficient on that front unless you’re planning to rock crawl and/or run big tires.

Cool rig by the way.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved

First, thank you! Adding RCLT will allow me to wheel with more confidence knowing that my components from steering to arms/spindles are as beefy as can be. The GX will never be a dedicated rock crawler, but I don’t just only want to do camping or soft roading.  I really do enjoy to wheel hard, so if you had to put me in a box, I’d identify as a Rocklander 😄. Currently I’m running 35s, which has been great so far. With RCLT I’d be able to run 37s. Not sure when that’ll be but knowing I can do that without major issues is great. I think running RCV axles with stock setup would suffice, but the steering system and other IFS components really are the weak link that makes one want to upgrade.
