2002 2Runner 2WD , 5ZFE Automatic ->R150 Manual swap questions

Hi Everyone ,  I am just starting off and am looking for some answers.

1. I seek to change the gears myself,  hence I want to swap out the Automatic transmission.  My 2002 4Runner is 2WD and I need a R150
    to buy and send to Marlin Crawler to get it  "reconditioned" .  When I look at R150 transmissions, some seem to have the starter motor
    on  the  R150 common  ?

2. Where is the best place to find a used R150 manual transmission that would be suitable for Marlin Crawler to "recondition" ?

3. Since the R150F 4WD transmission is easier to find,  is it possible to install that in my 4Runner and just have the
    Transfer Case front wheel output connected to no load ?

4. Recommendations re the ECU / Wire harness issues.... I plan to register my 4Runner 3 months early which will give me approx. 15
    months to resolve  any CEL issues .

Info: my 4Runner is a hobby car and used around town ... but  I may get into off road 4WD  in the future.
