Not Crawler Build
« on: Nov 23, 2022, 07:26:18 AM »
Its been a really long time since Ive posted here, so wanted to say hi to lots of friends Ive known over the years.
Some of you might remember me, I built the 4.3L 4 Runner a few years ago.

https://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=6974.0

I sold my 4 runner because of life, and ended up with a Jeep for about 10 years. Now that the kids are all older, and needing to drive, I sold my Jeep for about what I paid for it, crazy ha.
Anyway, I wanted to show you guys my new build.
Its kind of a weird one, but here you go

I started with a 1993 Chevy G20 Van and a tiny welder from Harbor Freight

Completely updated the entire suspension

My plan was to cut it in half

After cutting it, had to put back together

Finally attached

You guys are all familiar with driveline work

Added some porthole windows and my best attempt at body work (I dont do this for a living, so not very good at it)

Lots of sanding and again, more body work and prepping for paint

Primer

Some Color

More Color

And Here You Go

Still have lots to do, but its my daily driver
3 Months from Start to Daily Drive

What do you think?
Its been fun building this, not the most practical thing, but really lots of fun.

Always got a kick out of shortened vans and V-dub busses. Try to keep the front wheels on the groung.
Brought to you by the WBC (World Billionaire's Club) because money is a bad thing. Let us carry that burden for you.

Sure it'll fit........ Just needs a little brute finesse.

Sure I believe intelligent life exists on other planets. Other planets, not this one.

Still working on this van, but since its winter now, its a little cold outside.
Got some new wheels and tires, and trying to get the inside done.

Na, just know how to visualize and attack
I actually havent done anyting in many years, just needed another vehicle and didnt want to get into dept
Also, didnt want to go electric with a big monthly bill
This was just a last minute idea.
You should have seen my wife when she seen what I came home with again.

Check out my 4 runner build, you will see that was worse.
Thanks for looking.
