Hello, I am totally new to the transfer case swap thing.

I got these transfer cases (see pics of cases and a new adapter that was included) with a purchase of a vehicle and one of the cases has a tag on it that says it needs a bearing. so I need a rebuild connection in the San Diego area, hopefully...

1). What have I got?
2). Will they all work together?
3). Where can I get them checked or rebuilt in the San Diego area?

More details that inquiring minds will need?

The vehicle I bought is a 1994 Surf Turbo Diesel with a 3.0 liter engine.
It is an automatic.
Currently it is a stock 4WD set up as far as the transfer cases go.

From the pics. You have 2 gear drive t cases. The top pic looks like a top shift, not 100 percent on bottom pic. Can't see enough of the input side of cases to confirm. They are super easy to rebuild. If youre mechanically inclined, I would do yourself.

Scrubbed with a scotch Brite pad, and a little elbow grease. Then I will clean with dove dishsoap. Then use coarse steel wool twisted up to get into to tuff corners.. ill do this 2 or 3 times. Once it's completely clean I'll prep with denatured alcohol. Then etch and prime. Then paint with  eastwood aluma blast.

If time is a necessity, I would suggest finding a fwd shift, and doing a topshift conversion on it. The fwd shift t cases seemed to more plentiful these days. Also fetch less money

I'm working on a dual case setup with two top-shift cases.. What kind of rebuild kits or parts are you using for these? I would like to put them back to a fresh condition when i reassemble them.
Thanks in advance!

I pull apart. Inspect. I'm using the FSM as a reference. Any parts that are worn or bad, get replaced. I have quite a few boxes of spare parts. I buy all new bolts, and gaskets thru toyota. Major rebuild kit thru marlin or sumo gears. Shifter parts from marlin.
