i thought about getting a fj60 front axle since its wider so i dont need to run spacers on my front axle.

they are harder to find than the truck axles which are becoming harder as well.

diamond axles is another option as well but they look pricey.
theres another company i dont like mentioning on here that makes rock assault axles.
ruff stuff is another option.

since you got the 40 axles floating around that might be yer best bet. not sure about width though.

there a few inches shorter than the pu axles, but im pretty sure you can run the ifs hubs and get the 3 inches like the pu axles. it will be a little harder  finding the parts for it since its just the housing and a 9.5 in diff and not a 8 in from what ive seen

Shorter sounds like a deal breaker since we are all trying to make mini truck axles wider.

I wish we had more options for aftermarket housings. Especially after learning that the stronger housing also makes r&p failure less likely. Upgraded housing is on my list of wants. I really want a Diamond but I'm afraid to know what they cost.

,

i have looked at the diamond axles and there pricy as hell. if i do go with this 40 axle im prolly going to get a rear 9.5in diamond with the diff centered

Good luck finding your parts.
I opted for Diamonds front & rear, both @ 62" WMS (Tundra brakes rock). Front is a DS drop high pinion 8" and rear is an 8.4, both with ARB lockers. Both are bullet proof for my crawling needs and readily available.
Stay away from Trail Fail.
Ruff Stuff is nice as well.
