1st Gen 4runner flywheel
« on: Dec 27, 2020, 04:32:24 PM »
I have an 86 Toyota 4Runner, 4x4...
I've been looking to get a heavier flywheel for my 86 22re. I've looked at the LCE 35lb but it's $350! Some people on the Facebook page have recommend the heavier 22ret flywheel. I think it's 30lbs vice 25lbs? But I can not say for sure.

I'm also going to replace the clutch kit with the AISIN kit from Yotatech, $117, and they have the flywheel for the turbo for only $68.

Has anyone put a 22ret flywheel on the 22re with the 22re clutch kit?

Or

Would I need the 22ret fly and 22ret clutch kit together?

Cheers!

Get the Turbo clutch and flywheel as an assembly. The clutch is larger diameter and the flywheel is heavier.  I've got one in my 22RE 85' and it's the tits.  Real nice for the lil' four popper.   :twocents:  Happy Trails

What brand did you go with for the turbo assembly?
