I wonder how a electric vehicle would wheel if set up right?

If the dems get their way we will have no choice but to find out

Theoretically, with 4 independent motors attached to to independent suspension arms free of limited articulation caused by axle travel issues, that can be raised and lowered on their, while being able to have the lowest crawl speed, it should school any gas powered straight axle rig on the trail.  However the amount of space needed to house the batteries needed to run it all, and their weight, makes it something that we will likely never see.

Long trip?  Tesla probably leads the world in EV technology. Its best vehicle will go 300 miles before it needs a recharge.  It takes 40 minutes to recharge the batteries. The charging circuit requires 240 volts.

“you're going to probably need a $ 1,000 generator to bring with you and gas. “  What for?
Not according to Tesla, for the Tesla 3 it takes 6-8hurs using an 11kw power source to fully charge the batteries.  A 115vlt standard outlet will give you just 7 miles in an hour while the 11kw outlet will get you about 43.

Quote
Regarding the evolution of EVs to a point of replacing the 1.4 Billion gas powered vehicles world-wide…. it most likely will never happen.

Like solar and wind renewable energy sources (both are scams), there is a short list of very critical issues that the promoters of EVs don’t want to talk about.  The sources for the rare earth metals (neodymium, terbium, and dysprosium) for the electric motors alone is extremely limited.  Not to mention lithium!

The actual cost of replacing gas powered vehicles with EVs is nearly incalculable. The construction of the necessary charging stations at home and roadside has major challenges to overcome.

Oh… save the planet and the Green New Deal?… environmentally, what do think fuels the USA’s 7,300 power plants for our electrical grid?  Since large amounts of energy cannot stored, electricity must be produced as it is used.

The battery issue is what limits EV's from becoming a replacement for fossil/liquid fueled vehicles.  The only way EV's would make a practical replacement for vehicles, is to remove the battery issue, and have them draw their electricity from the road, something along the lines of how we wirelessly charge phones now.

Where EV's get their power from has always made me laugh at those who like to gloat about their EV being green, fossil fuel/nuclear plants are not green, and sure you can use Solar, wind, hydro, but are either bot green to produce or operate.

Cost of being green also isn't cheap, in CA, 70% or more of the electricity is generated from green energy at the cost of $0.20/kwh, meanwhile Louisiana produces 70% of its power using natural gas at a cost of just $0.9/kwh.

It just goes to show you they still walk among us. The blind leading the blind! It is hard for me to believe that people would willingly vote for someone that would immediately raise a person's tax rate and want to take everyone's guns. Just donate all your Paychecks to the government and see how well that titty taste.  Good luck!

When you have been indoctrinated virtually from birth to believe that socialism is all about accepting people for their differences and fairness, and not about control and oppression, it isn't hard to believe that people are willing to vote for the individuals that are actually stating they will enslave them through government goodies to the state for the public good, or as they see it, unchallengeable power to govern.

Guess you didn't get the memo, abortion is nothing more than a women's health issue, and just as a man has control over his body, a woman should have control over hers.  Funny how the control over her body, becomes the man's 18yr financial responsibility.

Lucky for you.... Trump is going to win by the biggest landslide win in history!
Gnarls  :roflsign:

On a fair playing field, given the economic prosperity most Americans were experiencing pre-wuhan, he should win by a larger margin than he did in '16.  However it isn't a fair playing field, he is up against the media, big tech, as well as a Democrat party that believes it holds the moral high ground and are fighting evil, which makes any act they commit, such as ballot box stuffing, justifiable, not too mention all the non-Socialist Dems who still believe the Dem party is still the party of JFK and not Marx.

While I hope you are right, as a win gives us 4 more years to move away from the Socialist cliff, however, given the Socialists losing their first chance at securing a liberal majority of the Supreme Court in '16, and with it the loss of legislating from the bench, I think they will stop at nothing this year to win what they believe was rightfully theirs, and the covid crap with bloated voter rolls, gives them the opening to do so, even if that means destroying the nation in the process.

This is how close we are to living in Orwell's 1984, or China/NK, only it wont be government restricting speech, it will be the media and big tech, not only are they banning negative news stories about Biden, but even mocking him now requires a warning label.

1.2 million abortions per year just in the USA, with another estimated several million performed illegally IS NOT A WOMAN'S HEALTH ISSUE.  99.9% of the abortions has NOTHING to do with a woman's "health".

Abortion of a fetus is barbaric and utterly immoral!!

By the way, Snowtoy, your smug condescending comments about one the most perverted and immoral acts any human can do to another human does not make you read any smarter.

Snowtoy... Sorry I did not get the memo.

I had my professional hat on.  In my job I read textual communications and have to carefully analyze both digital system generated data and manually entered by human data (text). Then determine validity of the data, current status of communications, accuracy, and next action item to process or complete the process, all in a matter of a few seconds to a few minutes.  I'm really good at it, but it can be tedious and frustrating, especially when there is a designated timeline to complete the process.  :blah:

Anyway... I'm getting old and I'm probably short on a few 1,000 brain cells! :disturbed:

Satire, sarcasm, humor, are often difficult to convey in textual communications. :gap:

I should know by now that your style of commentary is laced with satire.

Yes, sarcasm doesn't come through well in text, I should have used a smiley.
