Hello all,

I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I am new to the whole rock crawling scene (something I have wanted to do for a while). I don't know much about the sport, but am really eager to learn. I currently have a 1987 Toyota Pickup with a 22R and IFS suspension. It needs some work, but I would like to complete an SAS and maybe do some air lockers. I look forward to learning from each and everyone one of you. I am sure I will have a lot of questions along the way, so please forgive me.

When I think about my past rockcrawling days, lots of things come to mind.

Other than my 8 years of sandrailing in the dunes, my 18 years of very active rockcrawling and 4-wheeling was the most enjoyable time of my life.

One aspect 4-wheeling is of course the vehicle and three words come to mind – crawler gears, body armor, articulation. 

Beyond that, there are decades of experiences and an infinite number of opinions.

Asking for forgiveness usually implies that you have done something wrong.  Jumping into the best rockcrawling online forum is a very “right” thing to do. 

I would bet that in the annals of this website there are discussions and information about every aspect of rockcrawling and early Toyota 4x4s.
