Re sealing drip rails

Has anyone successfully re sealed their drip rails?

I'm being held up on a project due to not being able to decide what product to use to re seal the drip rails. I'd hate to use the wrong thing and have to mess up a paint job to re do it. Any suggestions?

3m body panel sealer should work, stays flexible, and is paintable, or you can but it in clear, which is supposed to be non yellowing.  It could be applied after you paint.

I plan on painting over it. If I have to clean out the gutter for a second try, it will mess up paint either way.

I'm surprised there isnt more info out ther on this. I would think re sealing drip rails would be pretty common on these trucks. I've got two that need it.

I haven't had to seal my toyota...but I've done alot of older car restorations..i use proform pf211... it urethane based..and paintable in about an hour..

Perfect  :beerchug:. Where are you getting the pf211? I'm only seeing it for sale in Canada. Knowing it has worked well for you this is what I'd like to go with.

IIRC it was a canada based place..i bought like 2 years ago..cant remember off the top of my head...its usually the cheapest place I can find it...
