Trying to identify Manufacturer of Chromo axle/Birf set
« on: Aug 12, 2020, 03:43:45 PM »
Howdy folks, took out the axles that came with my rig when I bought it and trying to identify who made it.
Short side part # DOR-90209-01 Long side part # DOR-90209-02 . I have googled the heck out of these #s and not coming up with anything. So figured some of you folks might be able to shed some light on this mystery I'm trying to solve. Thanks in advance. - Paul

Are they indeed chromo?
Dor is generally an indication of dorman. I know they make rear shafts for toyota. Front and rear for most everything else. I personally havent seen a dorman front axle shaft for a Toyota 8" front. That doesnt mean they dont exist obviously. I'd lean toward that being what they are.

The Laser etching I tracked down to be Longfields and had a TrailGear translation part # and the Birfs were Dirty 30s .   Lots of searchin' and phone calls but I'm impressed the Yota community was super helpful .
