I'm pretty well set up but you can never have to many tools and supplies.

How much is too much? :dunno:

Gnarls
Depends on how many guns you have, the less you have, the more rounds you need.  For me, I like to have about 3-5k per caliber for anything semi auto, and 1k-1500 for my non semi stuff.

Hey S....

Since my latest acquisition, being an over-thinker, I've been attempting rationalize everything about being the buyer, owner, handler, keeper, and cleaner. The cost of ammo is crazy, at least from some perspective.  It seems to be sporadically available, with short range swing in prices.  So what is the value or need for 1k, 3k, 5k rounds?

Will I need that many for an apocalypse where roving bands of hate-enraged psychopaths appear in my neighborhood about every week?
Yes, as under that scenario there would be no central or state government agents to come to your aid, nor any supply chain, think first settlers in Arizona

Quote
Is it an investment?.... I can sell it later for profit, or in times of great depression, I can possibly barber.
Yes and no, maybe not make a profit, but could be used to barter with if you find yourself in an apocalyptic situation.

Quote
Do I shoot up a 200 to 500 rounds every month (you know "practice"), then desperately scavenge to find restock to buy?
When I was shooting regularly 1-2 times per month, it wouldn't be anything to burn through 1-2k rounds.  This is when/why you need to get into reloading.

Quote
China invades the USA with military action that turns "a few good men" into a Red Dawn scenario?
"Wolverines!"  While a great flick, just as unlikely a scenario now as then.  More likely would come about from the civil war the Socialists are pushing for, and the Chicoms siding with them like the British were going to with the South.

The quantity level is directly related to an OCD?
If shooting regularly no, if just hording, yes.

I am very concerned about what is happening to America right now.  Our civil rights are being destroyed every day with pen and paper.
You are not alone, 50% of voters, and more each day, are beginning to realize just what the Dems have become, what Trump exposed them as, and how media and corporate America is backing them.  The voter law in Georgia and how the corporate world and MLB responded is a perfect example.

The degree of evil with ungodly power that exists is more than just a Hollywood horror movie.
This is why the Left has now targeted SCOTUS, they need to secure it, thereby securing their permanent control before they lose the Senate.  SCOTUS has long been their focus, they thought they were getting control with Hilary, and is why they went full retard when Trump won.  The Left, due to what SCOTUS had become since Brown v Board, understand that the true unlimited power in our Republic stems from controlling SCOTUS, as once they do, they can not only legislate from the bench, but ensure that they would never lose the House, Senate, or the WH, again,

I fear a very painful reality check is coming.
"What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure."-Jefferson 1787

It's been said before.  Making guns illegal only keeps them out of the hands of law abiding citizens.  The criminals will always get them.

Drugs are illegal.  We don't have any of those in this country. :psss:

Bill Gates wants to control the population!  He has provided undisclosed amounts of funding to academic research into solar geoengineering research, which in turn helps to fund the SCoPEx project. "But there is no suggestion he is in favor of blocking all sunlight from reaching Earth."... MALE BOVINE FECES!!!.

That was awesome. A totally new dimension of SCoPEx.

And you wonder why you get laughed off the table everywhere you go?

Geezzz... S...

That was excellent commentary!

Now....  I asked myself this over and over again.....

How can so many crazy people believe that destroying the American Dream and the greatest country and civilization on Earth is a good idea?

Why would anyone in a normal state of cognition want to deliberately choose to live in the horrific and painful conditions that Socialism has shown to devolve into?

Gnarls. :usa:

To understand why/how so many people have come to view Socialism as a good thing, you can't think of it as a political or economic theory, but as a religious one, which it is, the only difference is "v" replacing "d" in God.  Socialism, like religion, requires the individual to subscribe to circular logic, i.e., I have faith because I believe, I believe because I have faith, and is why so many on the Left willingly ignore the failure of Socialism from the past 100yrs.  This is how you can have white Lefties calling minorities who disagree with them racists today, just as you had Christians burning their fellow Christians as witches in Salem in 1692-93.

Socialism sounds good to me.  At First.  we all get an equal share of what we need.

BUT then there is no need to work harder and to make more, so I can have a better house/truck etc.  Why would I work harder and pay more for college to be a doctor if I make the same selling cheeseburgers?

It promotes laziness.

Actually, it isn't an equal share, it is "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs", the Left takes this to mean livable wage regardless of ones earning ability.

Not only that, but Marx envisioned the Socialist State, as a state where your income was not based on your labor, as labor was shared equally among the community, and unlike the social structure of then as now, where what you do for a living you had to daily or you had no means of income, you could do whatever you fancied at the time of day you wanted to do it, i.e., not be a farmer, hunter, fisherman, rancher, factory worker, etc., but be a farmer in the morning, a fisherman in the afternoon, and a poet in the evening, today, and then a factory worker tomorrow morning, a poet rancher tomorrow afternoon, and a critic tomorrow evening.  What he failed to realize, is that a human who can do whatever type of work he wishes to do when he wishes to do it, and his needs are met regardless of what he does, he, like any other mammal, will choose to do nothing but eat, sleep, and reproduce, which is why the closest we have gotten to his mythical Socialist State is that of Communism.

Along with horrific human suffering and death and nearly complete destruction of everything around.

Gnarls.

This is due to to the necessity to destroy the individual, so that the individual puts the needs of the State/community before his own, something that only about half the population can be conditioned to do willingly, the rest must be forced to comply through fear of expulsion, execution, etc.

ATF is at it again, this is a big one.

Uppers/slides to be reclassified as a firearm, no grandfather on those 80% you may own, and of course more. This proposal would go into effect in 90 days.

What Kind of Barrel are you planning on using for your SBR? What Length?

If you are going to do a trust you may as well go ahead and get a suppressor while you are at it. I am 5 months in waiting on mine to be approved.

The trust paperwork process is super easy. Cost me $250 and a couple of signatures.
