rescued as a complete rustbucket, first build was a rear dana 44, front 30, buick 225, close ratio 4 spd ( I forget what kind ), lockers front n rear with 5.38's and a spicer 18 w/warn OD. Tranny then replaced with SM420.

Then I got ahold of it..
Current work includes Toy truck axles front and rear. Front has Sky hi-steer with all brackets removed from the axle. Rear was stripped as well and is in the process of getting disk brakes and the perches moved inward for the jeep frame. Early skinny springs replaced with YJ springs.

Marlin Crawler SM420 adapter #6 in the works.

Current issues include the rear axle not lining up with the tcase, finding someone to machine the rotors to fit the toyota hub, making brackets for the rear calipers, etc. I plan to switch the brake system to all toyota as well.

It has had several rubicon and one fordyce trip on it so far but it is under heavy construction at the moment getting the toyota touch..

Big THANK YOU to Rocky for helpin me out yesterday - he threw my chebby rotors on the lathe and opened the center up to fit the toyota hub. Disk brakes here we come! Total investment is less than $75 for all NEW parts :up:

I will use the $15 chevy calipers on the $20 rotors with a stock car caliper bracket. Proportioning will come from a celica disk brake proportioning valve (works great on the truck). I have a mico lock but if I wanted a manual e-brake they do make a bolt on caliper with an internal e-brake (the one I am using on my truck) but it costs more..

all in all it was a very easy install, I know I am not the first or the only jeep with marlin products but I think this latest adapter will bring a lot of jeep people over to toy stuff..

Clearance on the driveline is tight but doable, rear driveline is short but longer than what I had in there before. Had to have a speedometer cable modified but that was only $6 at my local shop

when I welded the rear YJ hangers I moved the axle back so I gotta do some trimming, if ya look close you will see my black scribble line..

I just bought a DUI 50,000 volt HEI ignition and a 4bbl quadrajet to put on. Cut the rear fenders and stretched wheelbase 10", rear disk brakes, put in a nice rear view dome light, etc..

and... it's for sale

I need the money, space, and time

Make me an offer I can't refuse. NO dents, NO rust, complete custom with spare parts etc. All yota axles, drivelines, and tcase. engine had 160 hp with a 100lb flywheel and I have done nothing but hop it up so it has a lot more now.

that things a gem! what fiberglass body did you use? my brother got a used cj6 body and has probably added enough metal to reinforce it to have been better off with factory sheetmetal...

Mallote, they are in lincoln. Haven't had any problems with it and have layed it over, not hard though. Been through the con, fordyce, jergins, hollister, Prarie City, etc but I don't drive like a maniac - havent broke ANYTHING on the trail..

the main structural parts are sandwiched plywood - it is stout I think but I haven't introduced a fender to a rock yet
