I rebuilt a L52 this week, new bearing synchro's and 5th gear. Upshift is smooth and crisp, downshift same till i try to go into second gear, then most of the time I really have to pull it hard into second. It goes just not very smooth, once I am in second everything is fine, and I can gently sit on first till it drops in like normal. Only issue is downshift into second. The three keys and springs are installed and synchros and keys were indexed correctly. Is this something that may pass after in wears in a bit?
I installed a L50 earlier last week, that I was told wad good but was not. Still have my tried and true 4speed as a backup.
Thoughts?
