Automatic transmission for 85 Runner. Will 89 work?

The automatic transmission in my 4runner went out.  It’s an 85 so it’s rare.  Will an 89 auto work?  Does anyone know where I can find an 85 transmission and also are there crawler gears if I get it rebuilt?

I have an auto trans from a 1985 4Runner. I'm not using/needing it, and will sell it. I am still a noob here and my security clearance as of now, will not allow me to check your profile to see where you live. I am in Colorado.

I’m having my transmission rebuilt but my detent (throttle) cable is broken.  Does anyone have one for sale.  I will pay well for it.
