Waterproofing leather boots

What is your favorite product?  My friend from Wyoming likes Sno-Seal.  Any thoughts?

i used to use mink oil on my soccer shoes.  thanks.

I use sno-seal as well.  If your friend didn't tell you, it will darken the leather if that matters.

Leather is dark brown, but I don't care about looks.  Function first.

Hubby uses sno seal as well.  And then Shoe Goo when they start to fall apart 🤣

I've used silicone spray lube, works in a pinch. Sad thing is after that you can't use anything else on those shoes/boots.

I use PItch-blend. It's a mix of pine pitch, mink oil, and beeswax. You have to form the habit of using it but it stinks less than sno-seal.
