Power Steering Swap Questions
« on: May 25, 2019, 09:55:10 AM »
So I have an 84 Pickup with a 22r and manual steering. After putting a lift and tires on I knew High-steer was a must. However after I got everything in I realized I needed power steering for the IFS box. And after spending a few days looking for the factory PS pump bracket and tensioner with no luck, I began looking for other options.

Question: Would I be better of trying to source the factory set up or go with something like the Rock Assault Pump kit if that's possible?

And the truck will be my daily driver and hit the trails on the weekends.. for now

Thanks in advance!  :burnout:

I thought about trying to build my own kit, but there ended up being other items like the brackets & pulleys that would have to be sourced from a parts truck. I ended up just finding an entire PS system and pulled it from the truck. Everything from pulleys, hardware, cooler, etc...

All in all, once I got all the parts install was straight forward. I used this thread as my guide;
