22R CRANK-END / BLOCK DIMENSION HELP!?
« on: May 03, 2019, 07:52:40 AM »
Hey everyone ...
I'm hoping for some help from y'all.
we are converting a 82 hilux diesel to electric ... (https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw7mpoClExu/)

we typically use the existing motor to get the dims we need ...
but our issue in this case is that we are changing motor AND trans ... so are need a few baseline dims (ideally the motor) that we can use to finalize our 3D.

we are going to use an L52 trans ... which happily mates to a 22R (or RE variant) ... so we need to make our adapter and motor 'look' like a 22R.
I have all the bolt patterns and flat dimensions from others on the internet.

i really need the 'depth' or 'axial' dimensions between the crank output and the short block ... and that same crank face and the shoulder for the flywheel.  these dims set all the depths we need for our adapter plate.

I've tried to show these dimensions here:
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1QSZZaNS5APB4g6pgxUpA4N5944AoC9aW25GtgKzHMaY/edit?usp=sharing

alternatively ... if there is anyone out there with an exposed 22R within an hour of Bend Oregon ... I'll make it worth your while if you let me have 10 minutes with my calipers.

thanks everyone

geoff
