Ok I have the motor in and harness all hooked up, just need to mount dash in, and hook up.It looks like I'm gonna have to redo the airbox, cause its not wanting to fit over on the drivers side corner, its a little long so it looks like I will be able to trim some of the tube off to make shorter.

Looks good:
You could move your battery to the other side and mount the air box on the passenger side. It'll give you a straighter shot to the intake and make that part easier. You'll have to run longer bat cables though.

 SAWEEET!
all finished up and back from test run,I blew the computer and broke a birfield.the computer I think was bad cause It blew when I gave it 1/2 throttle on a dirt road, put new computer in and ran fine.
I mounted airbox on driver side, and battery in original position.I'm so glad I did this swap..... :thumb:
the only PITA was airbox and dash mounting....

I am doing the same exact swap, 22RE and 2nd gen dash swap.  I can't see any of your pictures for some reason.  Any chance you can email them to me?  tobyota82@yahoo.com  I have also been looking for tech articles on a bunch of boards for the 1st gen to 2nd gen dash swap.  Did you just dive into it?  Any other info or hints  you can give me?  Can the 1st gen steering column be utilized?  And could I just put a 2nd gen steering wheel on the 1st gen shaft?  I'm assuming the older wheel is larger than the newer wheel.
