clutch noise
« on: Feb 09, 2019, 11:18:04 AM »
have replaced the throw out bearing three times since august  and they work nice a quite for a couple of months then start to "growl".    when the truck is first run and is cold there is no noise, its quiet as a church mouse.

After warming up, when the clutch is depressed, even in nuetural, it growls and will stop when the clutch is released.
tried adjusting  the master cylinder travel to reduce the amount of travel but still there.

wondering if anyone has run across this problem and what the fix might be. this is getting very expensive and frustrating

The TO bearing should only spin when the clutch arm moves it in contact with the pressure plate fingers.

Did you replace the noisy ones with same part, same source?  Could be a defective batch of parts?
