how much for a 1st gen pickup?
« on: Feb 07, 2019, 11:27:09 AM »
Hey guys looking at a 83 pickup here in western Canada. Over all truck is bone stock with factory sunroof, interior is a bit rough has “custom” wood door cards lol, little tires prbly hasnt done much im its life, currently has a good wooden bed/flat deck but the owner has a good decent box he’ll throw in. Only real rust issue is a little area by the body mount by clutch pedal, metal around it is all solid tho so its easily work able. Runs great as well....has the 4 speed tranny. He’s asking 3k Canadian for it.

I have a 3rd gen sas’d typical loaded toy build but that engine is leaky hasnt ran in 5 years prbly now as im in a different province plus frame is shot. Planning to swap all the goods into the 83 this summer.

Think 3000 is an alright price?

$3k Canadian($2255US) isn't too bad due to the rust issue you guys have up there, here in my area when running, they usually start at about $4k Canadian.

Ya from what ive been seeing they are 2-6000 across Canada in varying degrees of rust. Obviously id love to pay 2500 or less but owner is firm on 3000 as he has a another 83 built up and his gf was planning on building this one up.

I'll only pay $250 but they go from $2,000-$4,000 a couple hundred miles from here.
