Well it’s that time again, I guess I’m going to be 42 this year. Jesus I’m getting old!
Standard Tahuya drill We have done for the last few years. Breakfast at Shari’s for those that want it. I will set a meeting time for leaving Shari’s and for heading out from the trailhead. Times to be posted later. Don’t forget your discover pass.
I’m planning to run the more difficult trail obstacles they have now as well as the most difficult west loop trail.
That said this will be a mix of extremely capable crawlers and also some less capable rigs with open diffs.
Less capable rigs will run the main loop and spectate for the challenge areas. This will be my 4th trip to the Tahuya trail system and I can’t wait to see what they have done with it lately. They have been working hard and I’m sure there are new obstacles to tackle.
This run is open to anyone interested.
The current list
Me 1987 4runner
Taun 2001 4runner
Joeyf 80’s Hilux Pick-Up
Travis TJ
Matt TJ
Easyriderdanger 1987 ext cab
Bill worstgen extra cab
Mudmaster 1983 longbed
Blackdiamond 1989 4runner

Yes they have camping available.
https://www.dnr.wa.gov/GreenMountainTahuya

Good to know. Its over a 3 hour drive for me, so if anyone is up for camping after the long day of wheeling I am up for loading the slide-in on the tow rig.

I have a birthday party to attend the following day or I would for sure be down to camp. Maybe Prismo, Travis, or Mudmaster?

Easy to difficult. Nothing that I have done there yet would I consider gnarly.
Here is a video of our trip from last year.
https://youtu.be/_Cr2wO91LIM
Note they are constantly work on it and it has changed every time I have went.
Also the difference in difficulty from dry to wet is significant.
Come with us Ryan and I promise you will have a good time.
I will be updating the first post with the roster of vehicles and drivers attending

Was that video also in February? Looked really dry in that one.

I will have to see if I can get sliders built and at least one locker before doing anything rock but if I can I would love to come. I just can’t beat up the body because I bought this truck under the guise of it being a flip to make some $$$ on down the road.

Times for Bday run
leaving My house at 7am
Shari's at 8am
trail head at 9am
roll out onto the trail at 9:30am
I hope that works for everyone.
We have a few people coming from a distance and I don't want them to have to leave their house at 5am.

Maybe, but in the video there’s a lot of water and the rig doesn’t have a front locker.

#1 you don't need that. Solid bday gift though
#2 is this like the 4th radiator
#3 good idea
#4 what? Poor blue thunder
#5 are you serious? Swap side for side? It's always leaned. So does Mine.
#6 leaking?
