Dual case
« on: Dec 28, 2018, 08:39:25 AM »
Gonna add the dual case soon and already did the 4.70 gears in the t case, Is there anything I need to do to the shift rails or anything else, Or is it ready to add the reduction housing to it?

You'll need to post up on what transmission you have now and what you plan to use.  I know if you have a forward shift t-case where the shifters are in the transmission you'll have some work to do.  If you have a top shift t-case, I think you'll be good to go.

It’s a top shift, w56 trans.. it’s just been a while since I did the gears and wasn’t sure if it needed anything done before adding the other case. Thank you

Review the marlin instruction. I believe You will need to shorten one shift rail. I know I had to

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I was reading the instal instructions, and I think sense I’m running a w56 trans and the t case I’ll be using for the crawl box is out an early 80s model pickup, I need to get a shift rail that is shorter for the crawl box to be able to work behind the w56?

Is that what the instructions say?
Maybe call Marlin to be 100%

I could be wrong but that’s what I gathered from it? Thinking about calling just to be sure so I don’t create more work!
