!983 Toyota Pickup ***ARB Bumpers***
« on: Dec 13, 2018, 12:01:50 PM »
Hey everyone!

I have a 1983 Toyota Pickup 4x4 that I am building up. I've heard that ARB made a bumper for this year truck but it is extremely limited. I do know that they started making a bumper for the 1984 model year and up but I am not sure that it will fit. I have seen one on "Expedition Portal" (link below) so I believe it exists but belief is all I have. Even some ARB reps don't seem to know anything about it.

If anyone has one or knows about one please DM me any details. Or if anyone can recommend where to get a good rock crawling/off-roading bumper, that would be just as appreciated!!

I love my TG tube bumper, Definitely a lot less expensive than the ARB one.

Good luck!  I gave up the search l, then found a reasonably priced arb for a third gen and snagged it.  Havenít tried to mount it yet but itís pretty wide.  Figured I may hafta mod the corners to look right

A suitable replacement plate style bumper is available from North West Trail Innovations:
http://nwtrailinnovations.com/toyota-bumpers/toyota-pickup-bumpers/1979-1980-1981-1982-1983-toyota-pickup/Toyota-Pickup-1979-1980-1981-1982-1983-Winch-bumper

It is hard to find a plate style for the first gen Toyota 4x4, most that are available are tube style.

Go tubes with plate. Best of both worlds. I love mine.  :twocents:
