Urgh,

I was referencing the fact the guy that has no wheeler at all was giving me :pokinit: for not having a Toyota.

I have two half built axles and dream. Isn't that enough?

Well, you did. Said the head gasket was gone. Right after you were talking about how cheap parts are for this amazing off road beast, and then you said you were going to change the engine because you don't wanna fix it ???

It has a blown head gasket, doesn't mean dead in the water, i drive it every day. a used motor is cheaper and quicker than a head job. Everyone is closed till New Year. So it stays as it is which is working and working well.
Also i cannot have it clogging up the shop for two days whilst i repair it, if the head is fecked then i will have to order a new one which will be four days.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah bring up the 3.0 like I knew you would. I drove my 22R offroad with no water for a few hours and it still ran until the very end.

Donít all engines run until the end?

True...

I drove my 85 22R to Moab.  Head gasket failed.  Did XX number of Moab trails for about 5 days. Drove all the way back to AZ with a blown head gasket!

These are ex utility company 110's fitted with cherry picker.
the picker will be hydraulic driven by PTO powered pump.
the cab is exactly the same as mine but with the hard sides taken out, the rearmost corners of the cab will have the holes in for the tail lights even though not fitted.

Hey that's kinda cool. Reminds me of those Toyota's with anti aircraft autocannons in the bed. The crane is probably more useful, though.

Heres a quick comparison for you, none scientific but near enough.
Works like this, drive up pile in 4wd low stop when wheel spins. get out take picture.

Bone stock 90.

For your entertainment a bone stock YJ

Yes, i will do a comparison to my 110 when i have the wiring sorted.

When i bought this truck, he said "some of the lights dont work". I can confirm that the beacon works but was lazy and two of the spot lights, both of which have smashed lenses, also work. The rest, not so much.

This may have something to do with it.

How on earth the thing hasn't burnt to the ground is beyond me.
Theres a white box on the bulkhead which will have been for the original utilities accessories. Which had this inside it. i cant make up my mind if this is original or put in by the hack who owned it previous.

Im going with original as in utility, because its soddered. yet i find myself disapointed that its not insulated when there's other single insulated wires floating around in the same box.

it is the only soddered junction in the whole car, the hack didnt seem to be able to crimp stuff properly.

Needless to say I have spent the afternoon tearing wiring out. Tomorrow will involve crimping and reassembling, before more tearing out or off of things.

I investigated the winch wiring to see why that doesnt work... watch this space. I did find scotch locks but only in trigger wires, we will see.

I also shortened my Hi Lift today.
It was a 60" but is now a 50"
Tip for anyone shortening... pull the jack apart and cut it off the bottom, cut through at the bottom of the next hole and weld it up.

If anyone was wondering where a second hand 60" comes from

now you know.
yes i also had the winch and the roof tent off the cut up 80 series further down the yard.

Fact: Land Rovers attract girl thingy.

Edit: Sometimes, well most of the time this Forum irritates me with its overly Liberal censoring of certain words. Its a pain in the cunning linguals.
Clearly whomsoever programmed the censoring has never been to Australia of Bristol (England not TN) where "whats up cunts" is a perfectly acceptable greeting.
It disturbs me how girl thingy is censored yet there is a smiley that clearly demonstrates a flasher, which is an arrestable offence.  :boobs:
What's new pussycat whoa
What's new pussycat whoa oh
Pussycat, pussycat, I've got flowers
And lots of hours to spend time with you

Pussycat, pussycat, I love you yes I do
You and your pussycat nose
What's new pussycat whoa
What's new pussycat whoa oh oh
Pussycat, pussycat, you're so thrilling
And I'm so willing to care for you
So go and make up your big little pussycat eyes
Pussycat, pussycat, I love you yes I do

Without this sensitization this post could have been mildly funny, alas it is not and has turned into a rant against the common or garden Sensitive Susan.

Perhaps this is a good time to announce that my cats name is Blackie.
Luckily, hes not a dog and as a result I do not have to yell his name across the public park when he has effed off in to the brush looking for squirrels.
Blackie does not merely look for squirrels, he eats them.

Steve,

As you know, there is a long history of attempts to social engineer America into some kind of pathetic ideology of European Socialism and Communism, with a genesis from Marxism, which leads to civil disobedience, chaos, complete collapse of law and order, then extreme suffering, death of many, and a human devastation beyond words.

The mores of American exceptionalism is a model that works, like capitalism.  Why phuck with it over semantics?  :dunno:

That's just my opinion - it may be worthless.  :gap:

The chain hoist was removing it off the roof of the landrover, from where it was placed wholesale including the rack, sand ladders and shovels off the dead 80 series from which it was removed. Dont get me wrong, you wouldnt want to drop it on your richard but its not as heavy as you fear.
