So I need help guys... I recently got a hold of a 4WD 97 Hilux double cab that's been bestowed with a 3RZ heart after the original powerhouse died. Problem is that the truck was originally a diesel so transmission issues are popping up, namely no interface between the tranny and the engine. The truck is currently at the mechanic the previous owner left it at with instructions to get a tranny and get her operational. There's been zero progress for about 7 going 8 months. I'd love any advice I can get about trannies that might be compatible and/or any way I can get her operational. First project so any and all advice is graciously accepted.
