Om603 swap in 1st gen 4runner
« on: Feb 22, 2018, 08:39:19 PM »
Hi all, I'm new to this forum and also somewhat new to my 4runner build.
My plan is to put a om603 in my 1st gen 4runner, there's a kit comming out for the ax15 trans bell housing. So my plan is to get a r150f and bolt a ax15 bellhousing onto it. My problem is I'm a little unsure with what transfer case to go with. I'd like to run Marlins dual case. Any advise on what transfer case to go with would be great.

Other planned modifications
SAS swap with 3 link
4 link rear
Lockers
Fuel tank relocation
And much more

Your best option would be r151f trans due to it already habing the rf1a gear driven case. If you are going to run a r150 you will need an adapter to run rf1a gear driven case behind it since the r150 came with a chain drive case.

Use the complete ax15 trans and run a atlas.

This definitely seems like the way that I will go, thanks for the advise
