rebuild engine 22re .30 over pistons new rocker arms and lce pro torque cam. When timing chain was installed somehow got off mark by five teeth. Dont ask how im stumped myself. Called engine builder and they said that as long as crank pully and cam gear line up on tdc #1 piston that it shouldnt matter. My question is truck is running and sounds good at idle but when driving it lacks power bad hesitation at start. Have timed it with lite and it isnt any where close to 5° b4 tdc. It wld be on 24° if it was one on crank pully.  Turned distributor a tooth and it bottoms out on adjustment  bolt.  When turning distributor to move a tooth do you turn gear opposite way of the adjustment bolt. I mean if distributor is bottomed out turning it clockwise do i turn gear counterclockwise to advance or retard timing. Sorry im new to this and forum and just like some info. This 2nd time in year ive built motor. 1st time machine shop bored it wrong instead of 20 over it come out 30 and i put 20 over pistons it didnt work. So im wanting this to be last time i have to. Also would the cam being a pro torque cam it seemsike it doesn't wanna turn up fast enough. No top end. Wld i be better off with stock cam instead?
