That mud truck is awesome. Digging the build. I was on the fence about swapping in a 3rz, but they were much harder to find wrecked here for some reason. Swap in a turbo

I'm not getting the whole truck. Just the cab. I'm trading a cooler for it. I realize that out west mud trucks aren't exactly the thing. Down here they are far more common than a low truck on 40s with dual cases. I dont care for the way this one had the bed cut out and stuff but the truck could actually be dropped back down and used with normal springs. In would go that route and just swap my axles under it but I do not want the wheel base. I really like how the shortbed works in the tight trails we ride.

Man I'm on a failure streak here. After all that you're just buying the cab :smack:

Most people just mud in side by sides out here

I met the guy at the off-road park a few months ago. He was back this weekend and rode with us and said he had one h2 was parting out. Showed me the pictures and I said I wanted the cab. I have found that the lack of a full bed and the short wheel base of this truck the way it is works well for where I ride. I have 2 longbeds and 2 shortbeds. Long beds ride better on the road and handle better. The short can take sharper turns in the woods and steeper approach and departure angles. I have no desire to mess up a decent pair of bed sides. We work in the woods and dirt washouts there is no such thing as keeping a body straight they turn into bubble gum after a few years. Hence why this is the 5th cab going on this frame.

Well...

The Budweiser cab ended up having more rot in the floor than expected. Also whoever built the internal cage for it decided to weld plates over the bolt holes and weld the cage to it so I would never have been able to get the body bolts out. I am getting the doors from it when he takes the truck apart  it they will be for the brown truck. I HATE vent windows on Toyota trucks. They make the cab feel very small. I suppose whenever I get back on this project I'll use the red cab or one of the others in the yard.

Been playing with an old rusty 8274 for a few weeks in my free time. Steam cleaned, tore down, re sealed, new oil, painted, albright contactor, directional switch on box as well as a small 4 pin connector I robbed from a broken photocell at work and re wired a cable to the original remote.

Since I cannot get a 23 spline 4.7 input from marlin at this time I got a stock set from OVRAROK. They came in yesterday. Maybe this week I can get them and the doubler adapter together.

Have been too busy helping a friend with a trailer project to get this thing 3rz/r151 doubler swapped. I'll beat on her this weekend wirh the tired 22r. Hope to get started on the New version soon though.
I did manage to wash this old pile of rust.

Good little trip. I sold some parts so I had funds to order the turbo header. Guy says he will get started on it this week.

I've used it a few times pulling people out of mud holes and stuff. I need a hunting truck more than a rig right now so I havent been messing with it much lately. But I did manage to park it beside the next cab that will go on it.

Dropped it off at a friends house yesterday. He is going to put the e locker 4.88 in the front and a spartan locked 4.88 in the rear on trade for a parts truck I had. Once I get it back the cab comes off, engine and trans out. Then start with the 3rz and r151 with doubler.
