555 FJ80 rod ends long term...
« on: Oct 06, 2017, 12:53:00 PM »
I mush have bought the three five rod ends with my Hi-Steer back in like 2003.  I finally had one get a bit of play in it.  I figured it out and I must have somewhere between 350,000 and 400,000 miles on these things.

As it turns out Napa can order made in japan 555 rod ends.  We looked over the parts and descriptions were kind of vague.  I needed the left hand thread so we ordered the L part number, which turned out being the right hand thread.  The I ordered the R part number and went ahead and replace both ends on my drag link.

Anyway the part numbers are as such:

Right Hand Thread:  SE-2951L
Left Hand Thread:    SE-2951R

I only paid $31 each which I thought was a pretty good deal.

I have found that if you are ordering parts from napa if you ask for their Altrom line it will either be OEM or at least made in Japan.
