I decided the setup was just a little too sketchy for my liking, plus there were concerns about the bolts transmitting vibration to the frame. Also I was worried about the angle, and with the transmission in place the placement is just a bit wrong. Also I now have a decent welder and enough skill to confidently attempt fabricating and installing proper brackets. I got the transmission and transfer case from H8PVMNT one state away, and the engine locally.
